Great! We are constantly looking for friends and neighbors to volunteer with us, no experience required! All training, gear and equipment is paid for and supplied by the department. Continue reading to learn more. 

Volunteering with the fire department is a unique and rewarding experience. You gain unparalleled experience you won't get anywhere else, you become a respected and valuable member of the community all while developing strong connections and building lasting friendships. Being a volunteer firefighter offers a sense of purpose and pride - a feeling like no other!

The first step to volunteering with the RVFD is to get in touch with us - via the interest form or by stopping by the firehouse. If you know one of our volunteers, even better! They will have all the information you need. 

Once you get in touch with us, you can start the application process which we will go over in detail once we meet with you in person. 

After all that, you will be officially accepted and become a Probationary/Junior member of the department! From there, we will begin to teach you the basics to get you ready for the Fire Academy.
